1. Short title and Commencement.- (1) This Order may be called the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (First Amendment) Order, 2016.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In Schedule I of Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003, under the heading “Airports”, after serial number 18, and the entry relating thereto the following serial numbers and entries shall be added, namely :- “19. Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh)”.
3. Amendment of Schedule VI.- In the Schedule VI to the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003—
(i) Against serial number 262, relating to Pome fruits Apple, Pear (Pyrus spp.) and Quince (Cydonia spp.) in column (2) against entry (i), in column (3) against entry (iii) ‘Fresh fruits for consumption’, after item (xv) and entries relating thereto in columns (4), (5) and (6), the following item and entries relating thereto shall respectively be inserted, namely:
