Section 54: For Excise and Taxation Officer using violence.

Any [Excise and Taxation Officer] who shall offer any unwarrantable violence to any person in his custody shall, on conviction before a [Judicial Magistrate] of the first class, be punished with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees, or with imprisonment which may extend to one month, or with both.
