In terms of the provisions of Statute 37 of the University, the aforesaid Ordinances reproduced as under, have come into effect immediately after the approval of the Competent Authority.
ORDINANCE NO. 25 THE DEANS’ COMMITTEE (Section 28 (1) (j) of the Central Universities Act) Preamble
1. The University shall constitute a Committee of Deans of all the Schools of Study of the University, to be known as the Deans’ Committee.
Composition
2. The Deans’ Committee shall comprise the following members, namely:
(i) The Vice-Chancellor - Chairperson (Ex-Officio)
(ii) Dean Academic Affairs (Ex-Officio)
(iii) All Deans of Schools of Studies- Members (Ex-Officio)
(iv) Registrar – Member Secretary Note: In the absence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dean Academic Affairs shall chair the meeting Functions
3. The functions of Deans’ Committee shall be as follows:

(i) Consider general academic matter(s) related to the functioning of School(s)/ Department(s)/Centre(s) of Study of the University;

ORDINANCE NO. 27 GAMES AND SPORTS COMMITTEE (Under Section 28 (1) (o) of the Central Universities Act 2009)
1. There shall be a Games and Sports Committee consisting of the following members, namely:
i. The Dean of Students' Welfare, who shall be the Chairperson;
ii. Two prominent sportspersons to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;
iii. Presidents of various Games and Sports Clubs, if any;
iv. One Outstanding Sportsman and One Outstanding Sportswoman from among the students on rolls, nominated by the Chairperson for a period of one year; and v. The Director of Physical Education or any one nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Ex-Officio Member-Secretary of the Games and Sports Committee.
2. The Committee shall:
i. take measures to attract the sports talent available in the University;
ii. make arrangements and supervise the games and sports of the University and frame Regulations in this regard;
iii. propose the budgetary requirements for games and sports;
iv. allocate finances to the various Clubs;
v. maintain the play-grounds, gymnasia, swimming pools and other sports facilities of the University;
vi. hold / organise contests, competitions, tournaments, athletic meets etc.;
vii. conduct Inter-University Tournaments whenever the University is called upon to do so by the Inter-University Sports Board of India, and other sports Tournaments if and when necessary;
viii. appoint various sub-committees for the conduct of University tournaments;
ix. select University teams based on the criteria fixed by the Committee, for the Inter-University and other tournaments;
x. recommend to the Vice-Chancellor the names of outstanding players/sportspersons to be nominated for admission under sports quota, if any;

3. The Director of Physical Education will operate the budget under the supervision of the Dean of Students’ Welfare.
4. The Committee shall hold its meetings at least once in two months under the supervision of the Chairperson.
5. One-third of the total members shall form the quorum for a meeting of the Committee.
6. Before 30th June every year, the Committee shall submit to the Executive Council:
i. a detailed report of its activities during the previous financial year;
ii. a statement of income and expenditure in the required form for the previous financial year;
iii. a statement of advances outstanding on 31st March and detailed remarks as to why these advances were not adjusted before the end of the year.
7. Before 30th November every year, the Committee shall submit to the Executive Council financial estimates for the ensuing financial year, these estimates shall be accompanied by necessary explanatory schedules.
8. Any grievance about the working of the organisation of games and sports should be brought to the notice of the Chairperson, Sports Committee. Employee(s) or Student(s) of the University dissatisfied with his/her decision may appeal to the Vice-Chancellor.
ORDINANCE NO. 28 STANDING COMMITTEE ON EQUIVALENCE FOR RECOGNITION OF EXAMINATIONS/DEGREES (Section 28(1)(o) of the Central Universities Act 2009)
1. All proposals and requests for equivalence shall be examined by the Dean of the School concerned with regards to the courses of study and the standard of the Courses. Report of the Dean shall be placed before the Standing Committee on Equivalence of Examinations/Degrees.
Composition of the Standing Committee on Equivalence of Examinations/Degrees:
1. The Standing Committee on Equivalence of Examinations/Degrees shall consist of the following members:
i. Vice-Chancellor or One of the Deans to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor who shall be the Chairperson;
ii. Deans of the Schools;
iii. One person nominated by the Academic Council from amongst its members for a period of three years;
iv. Registrar; and v. Controller of Examinations - Member Secretary
2. The functions of the Committee shall be:
a. to consider the proposal for the recognition of new courses/examinations/degrees of other Universities/Boards/Institutions;
b. to consider requests for recognition of Examinations/degrees received from other Universities/ Institutions/individual(s) and submit its recommendations to the Academic Council;

3. Quorum: One-third of the members of the Committee shall constitute the quorum for a meeting of the Committee.
4. The Committee shall frame the Rules of Business and lay down guidelines for consideration and approval of the Academic Council. The Academic Council may delegate any of its powers, in this behalf, to the Equivalence Committee.
ORDINANCE NO. 30 POWERS AND FUNCTIONS OF THE PLANNING AND MONITORING BOARD (Under sections 26(k), 19(6) read with section 26(q) of the Central Universities Act 2009)
1. Save as otherwise provided in the Central Universities Act 2009 and the Statutes, Ordinances, Rules & Regulations made there under, the University shall have a Planning & Monitoring Board which shall advice the Academic and Executive Council on overall academic planning and development of the University including establishment and abolition of various Schools, Departments, Centres, Halls, Colleges and Institutions, if any, established or to be established by the University.
2. The Planning and Monitoring Board (in short, the Board) shall consist of the following namely;
i. The Vice-Chancellor ………….. Chairperson ii. Two Deans of Schools to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor (Ex-Officio Member);
iii. Three Experts, known for their expertise / special interests in planning and development of Higher Education, to be nominated by the Executive Council;
iv. Three Experts, known for their expertise/special interests in planning and development of Higher Education, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;
v. The Registrar of the University vi. The Finance Officer of the University vii. The person designated by the Vice-Chancellor as the Planning & Development Officer or the Officer on Special Duty (Planning & Development) shall be the Member Secretary.
3. Terms of office: All the members of the board, other than Ex-Officio members shall hold the office for a term of three years.
4. The Planning and Monitoring Board may appoint sub-committees for specific purpose which may include persons other than the members of the Planning and Monitoring Board.
5. The powers and functions of the Planning & Monitoring Board shall be as under:

ii. to prepare and monitor the short term and long term plan of the University and further suggest measures for midcourse correction in the implementation of the approved plans of the University iii. to advise and constitute such committees as may be necessary for planning and monitoring of the plans of the University.
iv. to initiate proposals for institution of teaching & other academic posts and prescribing the duties of such posts.
v. to suggest & advise new academic programmes to be established in the University vi. to suggest & advise on implementation of various schemes of Government of India/UGC as issued from time to time.

ix. to suggest measures for raising the standard of education and research, including strengthening of inter-disciplinary programmes, cooperation between Departments/Schools/Centres of the University and schemes for interaction between the University, Industry and other educational institutions;
6. The recommendations of the Planning and Monitoring Board shall be placed before the Academic Council and Executive Council for consideration and further necessary action.

7. The planning and Monitoring Board shall meet at least twice a year out of which one meeting should be held prior to the publication of University Prospectus for the following Academic Session.
8. The Vice-Chancellor may convene special meetings of the Board at his/her own initiative or on a written request from at least one-third of the members of the Board.
9. Quorum: The quorum for the meeting of the Board shall be one-third of its total members including at least two members from outside the University.

ORDINANCE NO. 31 CONSTITUTION, POWERS AND FUNCTIONS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD [Statute 15(3) & (4) read with Section 28(1)(o) of the Central Universities Act 2009 (Amended 2014)]
1. Composition of the School Board: Each School shall have a School Board which shall comprising the following members:
a. Dean of the School who shall be the Chairperson;
b. Head(s) of the Department(s) in the School;
c. Director(s) of the Centre(s) in the School;
d. All Professors in the School;
e. One Associate Professor from each Department/Centre in the School to be appointed by rotation in order of seniority from each Department/Centre in the School;
f. One Assistant Professor from each Department/Centre in the School to be appointed by rotation in order of seniority from each Department/Centre in the School;
g. Three experts not in the service of the University having special knowledge of the subject or subjects concerned, around which the Departments/Centres in the School are organised, nominated by the Academic Council;
Provided that not more than one person per subject shall be nominated.
h. Two teachers of the University to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor from amongst the teachers of the Allied & Cognate Schools/Discipline.

2. Terms of Office: The term of the Office of the members other than the Ex-Officio Members shall be three years and they shall be eligible for re-nomination.
3. Powers and Functions: The School Board shall, subject to the overall supervision of the Academic Council of the University, perform the following functions:
a. To prescribe the qualifications for and procedures for admission of candidates to the various Programmes of Study in the Departments/Centres of the School;
b. To co-ordinate the teaching, evaluation and research work in the Departments/Centres in the School;
c. To approve the syllabus of various programmes of study, and topics and course work of various research degrees;
d. To consider and approve subjects for research for various degrees and other requirements of research degrees, as recommended by the Board of Studies;
e. To constitute committees to organise the teaching and research work in subjects or areas which do not fall within the sphere of any Department/Centre in the School and to supervise the work of such committees;
f. To recommend to the Academic Council the creation or abolition of teaching posts, and to consider proposals received from the Departments /Centres or committees mentioned in clause (e) above;
g. To consider schemes for the advancement of the standards of teaching and research, and to submit proposals in this regard to the Academic Council;
h. To promote and review research within the School and to submit reports on research to the Academic Council;
i. To frame general rules and guidelines for the evaluation of comprehensive continuous internal assessment (CCIA) including the Counselling Activities & Tutorials (CAT), assignments, quizzes, sessional work, Mid-Term and End-Semester Examinations;
j. To recommend to the Academic Council, the award of research degrees to candidates who have been found qualified and fit to receive such degrees;
k. To consider and act on any proposal regarding the welfare of the students of the School;
l. To perform all other functions which may be prescribed by the Act, the Statutes and the Ordinances, and to consider all such matters as may be referred to it by the Executive Council, the Academic Council or the Vice-Chancellor;
m. To delegate to the Dean, or to any other member of the Board or to a Committee such powers, general or specific, as may be decided upon by the Board from time to time.

1. There shall be a University Library Committee consisting of the following members, namely:
a) Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Chairperson;
b) Pro-Vice-Chancellor;
c) Registrar;
d) Finance Officer;
e) Deans of the Schools including DSW or their nominee;
f) The senior most professor from each of the Schools to be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor by rotation in order of seniority;
g) Librarian or person nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Member Secretary
2. The term of office of the Members of the University Library Committee, other than the ex-officio members, shall be one calendar year.
3. The University Library Committee shall:
a) exercise general supervision over the University Central Library, and all the other Libraries of the University;
b) frame Regulations for the management and use of the Libraries subject to the approval of the Academic Council;
c) allocate funds to various Departments, assess the requirements of the University Central Library and other Libraries and frame budget to be submitted to the Authorities concerned;
d) submit the details of the working of all the Libraries of the University annually to the Academic Council;

6. The Convener shall issue to each member a Notice conveying the date, time and venue of the meeting and a copy of the Agenda at least seven days before the meeting. In case of the emergency meeting, the notice and agenda has to be sent at least 24 hours before the meeting.
7. The Committee shall:
a) Carry out the acquisition of books, journals and other related materials;
b) formulation of guidelines for such acquisition and for periodic stock verification;
c) allocation of tasks to staff, library discipline, user services, inter-library cooperation and networking;
d) formulate proposals concerning estimates of income and expenditure;
