T̂.3TT. 718(3T) gTRT m%W 12 ^Jf, 2003 ift T^Tf^ra" t%rr Trrr $-1 MINISTRY OF CIVIL AVIATION (AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 10th April, 2018 S.O. 1577(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (a), (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of section 41 of the Airports Authority of India Act, 1994 (55 of 1994), the Central Government, hereby makes the following rules to amend the Airports Authority of India (Conditions of Service of the Chairman and Other Members) Rules, 2003, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Airports Authority of India (Conditions of Service of the Chairman and Other Members) Amendment Rules, 2018.
(2) These rules shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Airports Authority of India (Conditions of Service of the Chairman and Other Members) Rules, 2 0 0 3 - (I) for rule 3, rule 4 and rule 5, the following rules shall be substituted, namely:- [*IPT I I - W 5 3(H)] «TRcf ^1 TFSTO ; ST^UTT "3. Salary and allowances. - (1) The Chairperson, who is not a servant of the Government, shall be paid salary in the scale of pay of Rs.2,00,000-3,70,000 per month.
(2) The whole-time Member shall be paid salary in the scale of pay of Rs. 1,80,000-3,40,000 per month.
4. Fee. - Every part-time member, who is not a servant of the government, shall be paid a sitting fee of Rs. 15,000/- for each day he attends the meetings of the Authority and Rs. 10,000/- for each day he attends the meeting of its committee, if any.
5. Residential Accommodation. - The Chairperson and every whole-time member shall be entitled for residential accommodation on subject to the following: -
(a) Recovery of rent for the accommodation arranged by the Authority shall be @ 7.5% of the basic pay subject to the ceiling on the monthly rental for such accommodation to be regulated in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government in this regard from time to time; and
(b) additional recovery @2.5% wherever furnished accommodation has been arranged by the Authority either in its own township or own residential flats or arranged on lease basis." ;
(II) for rule 9, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:- "9. Period of notice for termination or resignation. - (1) The Chairperson or a whole-time member or a part-time member, as the case may be, who is not a servant of the Government, may resign the office by giving notice in writing of not less than 3 months or on a payment of 3 months' salary in lieu thereof to the Central Government
(2) The Central Government may terminate the appointment of the Chairperson or whole-time member or part-time member, as the case may be, who is not a servant of the Government, after giving him a notice of not less than 3 months or on payment of 3 months' salary in lieu thereof.".
