Section 20: Administration of estates of foreign subjects

On receipt of notice of the death of any person who was, or who the Administrator-General has reason to suppose may have been, the subject of any Foreign State to which the provisions of section 56 apply, the Administrator-General shall forthwith 7 give notice of such death to the Consular Officer of such Foreign State at Bombay, and shall inform the District Judge who has reported such death, of his having done so. In such a case the Administrator-General shall take no steps to administer or in any way deal with such estate without the consent of such Consular Officer, or until he has expressed his intention of not moving in the matter.
