The applications for approval for the purposes listed under clause 4.2 @), (b). (c), ,(d), (.), (0 and (g) of these regulations shall be made by Principal / Director of the technical institution or ,head of the institution or an officer of the institution duly authorized bv the oter of such institutions.

The ap'plicant may be required to submit the application for purposes iisted in 4.1 and 4.2, and pay prescribed fee online through AICTE's web-portal or any other mechanism notified by the Council from time to time.

ln such a case, the system may specific to the application, which for making further references and generate a tracking number, may be used by the applicant to track / check the status of the application, concerned, online.

An affi davrt, in the format as given on the web portal, on a Non Judicial Stamp paper of Rs. 100i- duly s\vorn before a first class Magistrate inter alia stating that the information given in the application is true and that if it is found X any stage that any or part of the information had been suppressed and I or misrepresented and I or the information given in the application is false, the Council will be free to take action including withdrawal of approval and I or arLy other legal action as it may deem fit.

A11 applications shall be evaluated by a Scrutiny Committee constituted by the Chairman, Regional Committee by selecting members using automated selection process provided by the AICTE web-portal Regional Officer or an Officer of the Council concerned shall assist the respective committees and place relevant records and documents before the respective committees and make necessary affangements for conduct of the meetings; however, he shall not be oart of the committees.

The Scrutiny Committee shall invite applicantsof (a), (b), (c) and (d) of clause 4.1, for presentation of their roposals alon IqrT III-u'us 4] gKfr q'T 1FI9;T : }I{TTITI{uT 4 . 1 4 4 . t 5 with originals of all scanned documents and a video CD of all facilities created for new Institutions as the case may be. As regards the other appliqations listed at 4.1 and 4.2 the Scrutiny Committee will process the proposals based on the information / documents provided bv the applicant.

Based on the recommendations of the Scrutiny Committee, the Regional Officer concerned shall communicate deficiencies, if &ny, to the applicants as stated in time schedule. The Applicant Society/TrusVCompany may rectifo the deficiencies and submit compliance as stated in time schedule for reconsideration by the Scrutiny Committee. The list of deficiencies shall also be sted in the AICTE web-portal for information.

Expert Committee shall visit the Institutions in respect of the applications received under sub clause (u), (b), (.) and (d) of clause 4.1 and under clause 4.2 lbl for the second shift of these I regulations which are recommended by the scrutiny committee I for further Drocessinq for t of approval.

The State Government/UT and the affiliating university may forward their views on the applications received under clause

4.1 and 4.2 of these Regulations to the concerned regional Office of the Council as prescribed in the approval process hand book.

The views of the State Government/UT, administration, the affiliating University, if received in time as per schedule prescribed in the approval process hand book and Expert Committee recommendations, in case of applications received under clause 4.1 and 4.2 as applicable, of these Regulations shall be considered by the Regional Committee for fuither processing for giant of approval. If the views of the State GovernmentAJT and t\e affiliating university are not received I I from the State Government IUT and/or the affiliating University i as mentioned in time schedule prescribed in the approval process hand book, the Council will proceed further for completion of approval process.

The Regional Officer concerned shall request the applicants, whose proposals seeking approval for cases as indicated in sub clause (a), (b) of clause 4.1, are reconlmended by the Regional Committee for grant of approval, to deposit the prescribed amount in the name of member secretary, AICTE along with an affidavit, in the prescribed format given on the web portal, as er the procedure mentioned in the approval process hand book.

I J The applicants shall not use name the technical institution in such a way that the abbreviated form of the name of the technical institution becomes IIM or IIT or II Sc or MT or AICTE or UGC or MHRD or GOI. The applicant shall also not use the word(s) Government, India, Indian, National, All India, A11 India Council, Commission anywhere in the name of the technical institution and other names as prohibited under the Emblems And Names (Prevention of Iinproper Use) Act, 1950.

Provided that the restrictions mentioned above shall not be applicable, if the technical institution is established by Government of India or its name is approved by the Govemment of India.

Competent Authorities for Admissions shall not allorv admission of students ip those technical institutions, which do not have requisite prior approval of the Council.

Affiliating universities shall not enroll students admitted in such technical institutions, which do not have requisite prior approval of the council. Further, all Technical Institutions conducting PG Diploma courses shall not initiate admission rocess before 31" March of the admission Year.

The applicant promoters/technical institutions are expected to provide to the Council true and complete information and documents required for various purposes. Provided that it shall be open for the promoter society I trust i company established under section 25 of the Company Act 1956 proposed institution to mortgage the land only after the receipt of letter of approval, only for raising the resources for the purpose of development of the Technical Education institute members.

A11 Technical Education institutions shall upload the information in respect of their director / Principal and faculty members in the format available on the rveb portal of the Council and update the information from time to time.

Social responsibilify As a part of discharging social responsibility, all Technical Institutions approved by the Council are expected to conduct a 400 hour technical skills value added programs spread over a year (programs will include 3 - 4 hours three days a week, two Latches of 40 - 50 students per batch, 5pm to 8 pm). These Programs may be based on the needs of the locai communify where the Institute is located.
