..Commission,, means the university Grants commission established under section 4 ' of the University Grants Commission Act' 1956;
..council,, means All tndia council For Technicar Education estabrished under Section 3 of the All Inclia Council for Technical Education Act, 1987;

Technical Department/Technical Schools and Technical Campuses of State . Universities declared under concerned State Act under the provisions of section 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act, 1956.
E. Technical Department / Technical Schools and Technical Campus of any other University declared under any of the provision of State / Central Government from time to time.
(v) ,.Technical Department" means the teaching. and research department of the University engaged in teaching and/or research in engineering technology, architecture, town planning, management, pharmacy and applied arts and crafts and subh other programme or areas as the Central Government may, in consultation with the Council, by notification in the Official Gazette;
(vi) {Technical School" means the teaching and research school of the University engaged in teaching and/or research in engineering technology, architecture, town planning, management, pharmacy and applied arts and crafts and such other programme or areas as the Central Government may, in consultation with the Council, by notification in the Official Gazette;
(vii) .,Technical Institutien" means a constituerfr institution of the University which offers courses or programmei of technical education, and shall include such other institutions as the Central Government may, in consultation with the Council, b-y notification in the Official Gazette, declare as technical institutions;
(viii),.University" means a University defined under sub-section (i) of Section 2 of the AICTE Act. 1987. ,

3.1 The technical entities of the Universities and technical institutions declared as Deemed to be L;piversity / Private University / State University shall upload such information, as desired by the Council, in the format prescribed on the web portal of the Council at URL : www.aicte-india.org. at such an intervals as specified by the Council.

3.2 The information referred to in Regulation 3.l.above may also be submitted as hard copy to the Council in the prescribed format.
The technical entities of the Universities and technical institutions declared as Deemed to be University / Private University i State Universities, who shall not submit the infonnation to the Council by the date prescribed by the Council, shall not be entitled for any financial or any other kind of assistance from the Council. Council may take any such action as it may deem fit against defaulting technical entities.
The Council shall also report its finding in respect of the technical entities of 'the universities to the Central and/or State Government concerned and the University Grarnts Commission for neoessary action as dqemed necessary."
The (louncil nray cause an inspection of the technical entities of the Universities and technical irrstitutions dcclared as Deemed to be University / Private University / State Universities, to verify the information furnished by them and to ascertain the standards of technical education.
The Council after giving due opportunity to the concerned University to explain its position shall publish the names of such technical entities of the Universities and technical institutions declared as Deemed to be University / Private University / State Universities on its official website, who in its opinion are not maintaining the standards of technical education as prescribed by the Council and/or not following the norms/standardsi policies laid down by the Council from time to time for maintaining the standards of the technical education.
The Council shall also report, its findings along with its recommendations in respect of the technical entities of the universities and institutions declared as Deemed to be University to the Central and/or State Government concemed, the University Grants Commission and the relevant accreditation bodies/agencies in lndia for necessary action at their end.
