And whereas copies of the said Gazette were made available to the public on the 6th June, 2001;
And whereas no objections and suggestions from the public on the said draft rules have been received by the Central Government;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 33-N of the said Act, the CeHtral Government, after consultation with the Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani Drags Technical Advisory Board, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, namely :—
1. (1) TheserulesmaybccalledtheDrugsandCosmeticsRules(4thAmendment),2002.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945,inrulc 168, in the column relating to "Class of drugs", against item 1, for the word "Single drugs", the word "Drugs" shall be substituted.

And whereas copies of the said Gazette were made available to the public on the 6th June, 2001;
And whereas no objections and suggestions from the public on the said draft amendments have been received by the Central Government;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 3 -O of the said Act, the Central Government, after consultation with the Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani Drugs Technical Advisory Board, hereby makes the following further amendments to the First Schedule to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, namely :— In the First Schedule to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), under the heading "Ayurveda",—
(a) in the entry against serial number 54 A, the brackets, word and figure "(Part-I)" shall be omitted;
(b) after serial number 54 B and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :— "54 C-Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India."
