(c) The applicant importing the timber or otier forest produce to Andaman & Nicobar Islands shall abide by the transit rules of the states/country ihrcugir or *om w-hich ihe iimber is being imporred.
. (d) Persons engagqJ in imporr of timbqr and its retail sare gr use locaily shall be required to maintain a record of receipt of timber and its disposal in the form prescribed in Arnexure-Ii and will be required to submit a monihly ref*rn of the stock of timber to the Divisional Forest Offi cer concerned.
"(e) Persons engaged in import of tirnber and its retail sale should have a pernanent depot properiy wared or fenced and dury approved by the Eivisionaf'Forest officer. Disposal of timber shall be perrnitted only Aom such approved depots..
(f) The timber or otler forest produce stored wrthin the premises of the trader aad the records thereof shali be open to inspection at any time by- any officer of the Department of En.uironmeni & Fcrssts
(s) For sale of timber or other lbrest produce impo-rted by the iraders . cash memoi' bir book duly appro-red and authenticated b.r the Divisionai Forest ofiicer concemed sha, be usec.
9{c) In addition rc provision of sub-ruie (i) above, the persons engaged in use of sawa iimber or wocd or oirrer tbrest produce for manufacture ot turniture or other iiems shail abide by the foliow-ing procedure:

(b) A propeily han:mer mark and a properly m:rrk ior the fumrture mari o, any otiier unit using sawn timber as a raw material shall be registered with the Divisionai Forest officer concerned. The propert-y hammer mark shall be affixed on the forest produce used an raw materiar and properry mark shall be afiixed on all the furniture and items manutbctured therefrom, by ihe said mar/ uiir. .'
(c) Persons enga$ed in manufacture of furniture or items of timber or other fbrest produce shall be required to niaiqpin a record of receipt of timber or other forest produce aad its conzumption in trre form prescribed in Aanexure IIl and a monthly return showing trhe abstract of total quantity of sawn timber or other forest produce received and total quantity of fumiture or other iterns produced, sold ar.tl balance in stock shall be submifted to the concemed Divisionai Forest Officer.
(d) The number and type of saws used in the furniture mart or unit shar be declared to the Divisional Forest Officer a:rd approval obtajiied for their .use.
(e) The saws used rn the fumiture mart shourd be excrusivery for the purpose of manutbcture of furnifure or otier items and shail not be used for sawing/re-sawing of ariy iog or sa-,vn timber not belonging to the furniture maft or not mee-nt fbr manufacfure of any item, in the said fumiture mart or unit.
(1) The raw rnateriais (timber or ofu\er forest produce) stored and the fumiture or items manufactured and the machinery or implements in rhe premises or '*orkshop or godo..ln or sholvroom of the furniture mart/ unit and the records shall be open io inspection at any time by any officer of the Departrnent oi' En-iironmen t rL Foresis.
