Section 25: Order for abolition of Posts

(a) an order for abolition of a post or for reduction of the post of an employee shall not be brought into operation in the case of a permanent employee before the expiry of three months after the notice has been given to the employee affected and in other cases before the expiry of one month after the service of notice; :

(b) in the case of an employee on leave, the order shall not be brought into operation before the leave expires, but the leave and the period of notice shall run concurrently.
