The Registrar, a person appointed to assist the Registrar under section 3, a person authorised to audit the accounts of a co-operative society under section 48 or to make an inspection under section 49 or to hold an inquiry under section 50 and a person appointed as an arbitrator under section 56 or a liquidator appointed under section 58 shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860).
