No. CWLW/WL/ f (A).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 64 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 (Central Act 53 of 19721 as amended upto 20O6, read with Sub.Section (29) of Section 2 thereot the Lt. Governor hereinafter called as Administrator, Andaman & Nicobar Islands hereby makes the following Ancndacats to Rule 18 and 19 (A) under Chapter IV of the Principal Rules; the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Wildlife (Protection) Rules, 2O08, narnely :-

1. Sbort tltlo ald connercement : (il These rules may be called the Andarnan & Nicobar Islands Wildlife Protection (Amendment) Rules, 2017. (i0 These rules shall come into force with effect from the 1* day of April, 2018. A.UENDMENTE

2. Rule 18 and Rule 19(4 in Chapter w of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Wildlife (Protection) Rules, 2OO8 hereina.fter called the Principal Rule, shall be substituted as under: la. (i) Entry fee in Marine National Parks, other Island Sanctuary and Island National Park for the purpose of Section 28(f) (d) & 35(8) of the Act (In case of uisitors not beirq sa/defis).

(a) Indian Nationals :

(i) Islanders

(a) Belonging to PHH & AAY category No Fee

(b) Who does not fall under PHH/AAY category t 75/- per person per day f ote- Islanda means a person ula is a Pennanent hhabitant of A&N Island.s PHH- Priontg House Hold AAY- A godaga Arvn Yojanal

(ii) Non-Islanders

(ii) For other Sanctuary and National Park :

(a) Indian Nationals:

(iii) kr respect of a vehicle wtrich is :

(a) A Motor qrcle/ Scooter/ Auto/ Cycle propelled by mechanical power

(b) A Light Motor Vehicle (Car/Jeep)

(c) Other Motor Vehicles (Swaraj Mazda/ Mahindra/ Eicher/ Force Van/ Bus/ Truck)

(d) A CYcle and other manually operated conveyance (el A boat permitted for plying for tourism purpose shall pay the following rates :

(i) A boat carrying less tJ:an 1O persons

(ii) A boat carrying between 11-50 persons

(in) A boat carqring between persons &rplarlrtlo! : Ttre fees in respect of Rule 18 (v) (c) & (e) is inclusive of the entrance fee of one driver/ rider of the vehicle and crew (not exceeding 5 persons) in case of boats' THE ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR EXTRAORDINARY GAZEI'IE, MARCH 29, 2018 3 A fee of( 2,OOO/- per person per day in respect of Indian Tourist and ? 5,OOO/- per person per day in respect of Foreigrr Tourist shall be charged for SCUBA diving in Marine National Park.

(v) A Registration fee of ( 2,0OOl- per annum in respect of Indian Tour Operator shall be charged for conducting activities like bird watching, nature trekking etc- inside the Sanctuaries and National Parks.

(vi) A permit referred to in Rule 17 (ii) shall be valid for the period specified therein.

19. (Al Entry la r Sanctuary or a lfatlonal PcrL for the purposc of Sectloa 2E(11 lal, (b) anil (cf aad 35 18, of the Act :

(i) Every person desiring to enter a Sanctuary or National Park for the purpose of investigation or study of the wildlife and purposes ancillary or incidental thereto or for professional photogaphy or scientific research shall obtain a permit from the Chief Wild life Warden of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

(ii) No fee is pa.yable for a person or group of persons for car4ringout investigation or study of wildlife or conducting scientific research in a Sanctuary or National Park and the entry of vehicle or vessel used for such study/research shall be allowed free.

(iii) The fee for operating a camera shall be as follows, namely :

(a) For photography by amateurs using Still < 50/- per Camera per Camera /Handy Cam day

(b) For photography by professionals using SLR ( 50O/- per Camera Camera with Tele lens/ Camcorder etc. per day

(c) For Shooting of Documentary Filrns using Cine Camera:

(i) Indian Nationals ( 3,000/- per day

(ii) Foreign Nationals { 10,000/- per day

(d) For Shooting of Feature Films and Movies:

(i) Indian Nationals { 10,000/- per day

(ii) Foreign Nationals < 25,000/- per day hgtreaatlon :

(a) 'Ihe fee speci{ied in sub-rule (iii) shall be.paid in advance for issue of permits.

(b) Professionals using Cine Camera for making TV Documentary Films as required in the sub-rule (iii) (c) & (d) above shall execute an Agreement as provided at Appendix-I to the Rules. (19 A fee of ( 5OO/- per person per day in respect of Indian Citizen and 7 2,OOO/- p€r person per day in respect of Foreigrrers shall be charged for scuba diving for underwater photography or making TV or document€ry frlms on marine life by professional photographers using any type of cameras in addition to t}te fee for operating a camera as per sub rule (iii) (c) & (d) above.
