The Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Tribal Council) Regulation, 2009Union territory Regulations of Andaman and Nicobar Islands · 1950

(1) If the validity ofany election of a member of a Village Council or Island Council or the respective Captains.is called in question by any person qualified to vote at the election to which such question relates, such person may, at any time within fifteen days after the date of declaration ofthe results of the election, apply to the District Judge in such form as may be prescribed for the determination of such question.

(2) Every petition shall be tried as expeditiously as possible and endeavour shall be made to conclude the trial within six months from the date on which the petition is presented to the District Judge.
