G.S.R. 930(E) .-In eXefC]SC of the powers con ferred by sub-sectIon (1) read with cIau~e (c) of sub-sec ion (2) 0! Se·;\icn 3) o~ the Adllllllbtnll,vc Tribnnals Act, 1>185 _ (13 of 1985), th? Central Government hereby makes the followmg rules, namely;-
1. Short title and commencement.-(l) These rules may be called the Andilr" Pradesh Administ:ative Tribunal (Salaric on,1 Allow"acos ""d CondItIOns of Service of Chaimtan, Vice-Chairman and Mem beG) Rule;, 1989.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette,
2. Definitiom.-_In these rules, unless the context otherwise requic\!s:_
(a) "Act" means the Administrative Tribunols Act, Ut:; (13 cl 1985)
(b) "Government" menns the Gove!nment of Andhra Pradesh;
(c) "Tribunal" means the Andhra Pradesh Adminis!:"afi"Je Tribunal;
(d) the words and exprcssiuns used in these rules and not defined, but ccfined in the Act shall have the meanings, respec:ively assigned to them in the Act.

(2) On such retirement as is provided for in sub rule (1), the Chairman, a Vice-Chairman or a Member:

8. Pen,ion. -( I) Every persoll appointt:d to the 'l'nbunal as the Chairman or a MembeI shall be "ntiJ.u to pension proviued that no ;uch pension .ball be payable:
(i) if he ha< put in less than two years of service wilh the Tribunai, or
(ii) if he has been removed from an office- in the Tnbum.l under sub-section (2) of Sec tioll ') of the Act.

9. Provident t'und.-The Chairman, a Vk,, Chairman or a Member sbalI be entitled to subscribe to the Pro>ident Fund a: his option and in cnse of his opting shall be governed by the provisions d the All India Services (Provident Fund) Rules:
Provided that if til" Chairman a Vice-Chairman Or a Member was a. Judge ot a High Co un or was a Member of an All India Service or lVas holdin& u post under 'he Centr"l or a State Government imme diately before his joining the Tribunal, h'" ,11,,11 be governed by the rules which were applicable te bim immediately before Joining the Tribnnal.
10. Travelli'lg Aliowances.-The Chairman, a Vice-Chairman or a Member while on tour or en transfer (including the jonrney under'aken to join the Tribnnal or (In the eX.hv 0: his term ",ith the Tribunal to proceed to his home !t,wn) shall be entitled '0 the rnvelling Allowance, daily allowance, transportation (,f personal effects and other similar ma~ters at the same scaI~s and a~ the same rates as are prescnbed :n the High Court Judges (TraveUing Allowance) Rules, 1956.
11. Leave Travel Concession.- -The Chairman, a Vice-Chairman ur ,\ Member ,hall be entitled to the leave travel CO!.h'::'J.sStOll at the same rates snd the same scales an on 01':' ~ilmc conditions as are uppli cable to a Group A ollieers rf the Central lJovcrnment dr~wing a pay ill the s~alc of Rs. 7300-100- 7600 or above.
12. Accommooation.-(l) Every porsen appointed to the Tribnnal as Chairman, Vice-Chairman or a Member shall be entiled to the use of official resi dence of appropriate type, subject to availabilil):" on the payment of licen"~ f.e at the rates prescn~cd by Government fmm time to time.
(2) When .he Ch~i~man. Vice-Chairman or " Member is not provided with or does not avail him self of the official residence referred to in sub-rule
(1) he may be paid every man an allowance at :lIl amount equal to fifteen per cent of his pay.
(3) Where the Chairman, Vice-Chairman or a Member occupi,::s an officml re~jdellce beyond the· permissible period he shall be liable to pay additional licence fee or penal rent, as the case may be, and liable to eviction in acceHbnc~ with the ru]es of !hc Government.
13. Facility of con1/eysncc.-The Chairman, " Vice-Chairman or a Member shaH be enti led to th~ facility of staff car in accordance with the Staff Car Rules of the Government.
14. Facilities for Ivlediclll Treatment.-The Chair man, a Vice-Chainnan and a Member shall be entiled to medical treatment and hospital faeilitle;
as are admissible to an officer of the cOIlespondio;".

15. Conditions of service of sitting judges of the High Court appoin'ed as Chairman or Vice-Chair man_-N otwitlwanding anything contained in the,e rules where a sitting judge of a Hig.'1 Court is appoin ted ~, the Chaimlan or a Vice-Chairman of the Tribunal, the service condition'i ~b contained-in tbt-· High Conrt Judges (CollditiOllS of Service) Act. 1~54 and the rules mad~ thereunder sl:all apply te hlm_ upto the date of his superannuation as a sitting judge of the High Court. Thereafter. he shall be governed by these roles for the remaining period of his 'enme as Chairman or Vice·Chairman, as lhe case may be.
16. Residuary Provisi,m.-The conditions of ser vice of the Chairman, a Vice-Chairman or a Member for which no expre:;, provision is available in these rules shall be determined by the rules and orders for the time being applicable to officers of corresponding pay levels belonging to the Indian Administrative Service.
17. Powers to rela" rules.·--The Central Govern ment shall have 'he power to relax the provisions of any of these rules in re~pect of any class or cate gories of persons.
