The Chairperson and the Members shall be entitled for an annual pension at the ruic contained in any other law for the time being in force in the State. The pension at 1111.· above r,1!1.'
shall be added to the pension which he/she is already getting at the time ofjoining as Chairperson or as a Member. to arrive at the pension to which he/she would be entitled. when he she ccuscx l\1 h1.· a Chairperson or as a Member.
10. Official residence to Chairperson and the Mernbersr- (I) The Chairperson and the Members of l.okayukta shall be entitled to the use of free furnished official residence throughout the term 1>1· their office and thereafter for a further period of one month or such extended period us ma:- be determined by the State Government.
(2) The official residence shall bl! maintained by the Government.
(3) Ir the Chairperson and the Members are not pm, ided with official residence i111111i.:di;1kl:
after his/her appointment as such. he/she shall be entitled for reimbursement of till' ucruul r1.·111 paid by him/her for accommodation, till the date or getting the official residence.
(4) Where the Chairperson does not avail himself/ herself of the use of official residence. hi.'
/she shall be paid every month. House Rent allowance of I 0% of the basic pay and sld I ,tl:-,u be entitled to reimbursement of water and electricity charges.
Explanations:
For the purpose of these rules,- ( I) "Family" means wife or husband. their dependent children. parents. brothers ( h1.·lu\\ 18 years) and unmarried sisters or the Chairperson and the Members of Lokuyuktu.
(2) "Official residence" means accommodation owned or taken on hire husis h\ requisitioning or otherwise. by the Government and allotted to the Chuirpcrson ur th1:
Members of Lokayukta.
(3) "Maintenance" in relation to official residence includes payment towards local t,i:,1.·:- and consumption of water and electricity.
Provided that the maximum ceiling limit fixed for such pa: 1111..·111 t11\\:1rd-, consumption of water and electricity charges in respect of Chairperson or \krnhers 1i1· Lokayukta shall be as admissible to a Judge or Supreme Court ,1r Chier Justice 11!' I ligh Court or Judge of High Court as the case may be.
