(1) Immediately after the allotment of symbols to independent and other candidates under section -45, the Municipal Returning Officer shall prepare mg candidates,and publish in such form and manner as may be prescribed a list of contesting candidates, that is to say, candidates who were included in the list of validity nominated candidates and who have not withdrawn their candidature within the said period.
(2) For the purpose of listing the names under sub section(1 ),the candidates shall be classified as follows, namely:-
(i) candidates of recognized political parties
(ii) candidates of registered political parties other than those mentioned in clause (i);
(iii) other candidates.
(3) The candidates mentioned in sub-section (2) shall be arranged in the order specified therein and the names of candidates in each category shall be arranged in alphabetical order and the addresses of the contesting candidates as given in the nomination papers together with such other particulars as may be prescribed.
Election agents
47. A candidate at an election may appoint in the prescribed,manner any one person, other than himself, to be his election agent, and when any such appointment is made, notice of the appointment shall be given in the prescribed manner to the Municipal Returning Officer.
Disqualification for being an election agent.
48. Any person who is for the time being disqualified under this Act for being a member of a Municipality or for voting at elections, shall, so long as the disqualification subsists, also be disqualified for being an election agent at any election.
