(1) In theArunachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj (Conduct of Election) Rules, 2001. (herein Amendment after referred to as the Principal Rules), in sub-rule (1) of Rule 2, in clause (e), the of Rule 2.

(4) in sub-rule (1) of Rule 2, in clause (j) thewords "Anchal Samiti" appearing after the words "Gram Panchayat" and before theword "and" shall be deleted.

3. In the Principal Rule, sub-rule (2) of Rule 5 shall be deleted.

4. In the Principal Rule, theword sub-rule (3) the following shall be substituted;- "(3) Every nomination paper presented to the Returning Officer shall be in Form 2(A) in case of Gram Panchayat and in Form 2(C)in case of Zilla Parishad.

Provided that a failure to complete or defects in completing the declaration as to the symbol in a nomination paper in Form 2 (A) or 2 (C) shall not be deemed to be a defect of substantial character within the meaning of sub-rule (4) of rule 12".
