(1) This Ordinance may be called the Asian Refractories Limited (Acquisition of Undertaking) Ordinance, 1971.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires,—
(a) ""appointed day" means the day on which this Ordinance comes into force;
(b) "company" means the Asian Refractories Limited, being a company as denned in the Companies Act, 1956, having its registered office in the State of West Bengal;
(c) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Companies Act, 1956, have the meanings respectively assigned to them in that Act.
3. On and from the appointed day, the undertaking of the company shall, by virtue of this Ordinance, be transferred to, and shall vest in, the Central Government,
