Section 5: Power of entry

The Assam Agricultural Pests and Diseases Act, 1950State Act of Assam · Act 35 of 1950

Any inspect ing officer may with prescribed notice enter into any premises, land or wate r within the notified area and take such action as may be necessary in order to ascerta in—

(a) whether any insect pest, plant disease or noxious weed is there pr es en t; and

(b) whether the prescribed remedial or preventive measures or both , as ;

„ the case may require, have been taken.
