Section 85: Society to be a body corporate

The Assam Co-operative Societies Act, 1949State Act of Assam · Act 1 of 1950

Every registered society shall be deemed to be a body corporate by the name under which it is registered, with perpetual succession and a common seal, and with power to hold property, to enter- 1 into contracts, to institute and defend suits and other legal proceedings and 10 i « do all things necessary for the purposes for which it was constituted.
