The Deori Autonomous Council (Amendment) Act, 2005State Act of Assam · Act 25 of 2005

(1) The Village Council shall meet at least once in every three months for transaction of its business.

(2) The meeting of the Village Council shall be held at the office of the Village Council or at such other convenient place at such time as may be notified by the President:

Provided that the first meeting of the Village Councii after the election shall be held on such date and time as may be appointed by the Government.

40. Every member of the Village Council shall, before taking his seat, make and subscribe, before such person as may be appointed by the Governor in this behaif, an oath or affirmation in the manner and form as may be prescribed.

41. The quorum necessary for transaction of business at a meeting of the Village Council shall be 4 (four) members and the decision of the Village Council shall be by a single majority of votes of the members present
