Section 6: Prohibition against practising any p rofession , draw ing salary a s m em ber, etc
The Assam Deputy Speaker's Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1956State Act of Assam · Act 8 of 1956
The Deputy Speaker shall not,
(i) during the tenure of his office for which he draws salary, practise any profession or engage in any trade or undertake for remuneration any employment other than his duties as Deputy Speaker, and
(ii) while he draws salary for his office, be entitled to receive any sum out of funds provided Dy the Assam Legislative Assembly by way of salary or allowances in respect of his membership of the Assam Legislative Assembly.
