(1) The State Government shall within three months from the date of commencement of this Act, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute a committee to be called the State Level Seed Committee (SLSC) to exercise the powers conferred on and the functions assigned to it under this Act.

Senior Scientist (Fisheries) Assam Agriculture University, Jorhat.
One Fish Seed Producer to be nominated by the State Government.
One eminent Fishery Expert to be nominated by the State Government.

(3). The Committee shall sit at Guwahati at least twice in a year and the interval between two sittings shall not exceed six months and observe such procedure in regard to transaction of business at its meeting as may be prescribed.
