Section 4: Appointment of Inspectors

The Assam Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1985State Act of Assam · Act 9 of 1994

(1) The Gove rnment may, by notification, appoint such persons or such class of persons as the y think fit to be Inspectors for the purpose of this Act with in such local limits as the Gove rnment may specify.

(2) Ev ery Inspector shall be deemed to be a public serva nt within the meaning of Section 21 of Indian penal Code (Central Act XLV of 1860):
