(1) The State G overnment may, by notifica tion in the Official Gazette, make rules for carrying out the purpo se of this Act.
(2) All rules made by the State Govern ment under this Act shall, as soon as may be after they are made be laid befo re the Assam Legislative Assembly while it is in session, for a total perio d of n ot less than four teen days which may be comprised in one session or two or mo re successive sess ions , and sha ll, un les s som e lat er date is appo inted , take effect from the date of the ir publication in the Official Gazette subjectto such modifications or annulments as the Legislative Assembly may, dur ing the said period agree to m ake so however, , tha t any such modification or annulment shall be wi tho ut prejudice to the valid ity of anything previously d one thereu nder.
43. No suit, prosecution or other legal proceedings shall he institu ted aga ins t any person for anything which is in good faith done or inten ded to be don e un de r thi s Act or un de r the rul es made thereunder.
