(1) The name of any inmate desiring to see the Medical Officer or appearing to be out of health in mind or body shall, without delay, be reported by the officer in immediate charge of such inmate to the Jailer, who shall, without delay, call the attention of the Medical Officer to such inmate.

* . (2) The Medical Officer shall examine such inmate as aforesaid and also such-other Inmates as appear to him to be out of health in mind or body, and give such directions in writing as he deems fit.

Record and execution of directions of Medical Officer

50. All directions given by the Medical Officer in relation to any inmate, with the exception of directions relating to such matters as are to be carried into effect by the Medical Officer himself or under his superintendence, shali be entered day by. day in such record as may be prescriljed, and shall be carried into effect by the Jailer with the sanction, where necessary, of the Superintendent; and the Jailer shall make an entry in the proper place of such record, stating in respect of each direction the fact of its having been complied with or, if not complied with, the reasons for its not having been complied with, and the date of the entry.
