(1) The Chief Secretary, Govt, o f Assam : Chairman;

(2) Senior most Secretary o f Higher Education Department, Government o f Assam : Vice Chairman;

(3) The Director o f the Council ; Member Secretary;

(4) Secretary to the Govt, o f Assam (Higher/Technical) Education : Member;

(5) The Chief Engineer, P.W.D.(Building), Assam : Member;

(6) Director o f Higher Education, Assam : Member;

(7) Director o f Technical Education, Assam : Member;

(8) Director o f Medical Education, Assam : Member;

(9) Director, Secondary Education, Assam : Member;

(10) Director, Elementary Education, Assam : Member;

(H ) Four academicians o f repute to be nominated for a period of three years by Government : Members;

(12) One of the Joint Secretary I : Member;

Deputy Secretary / Under Secretary, Education Department, Government o f Assam

(13) Two members to be co-opted by the Executive Council in its first meeting from amongst the Educationists I Academicians /Experts in the field o f Higher Education.
