(1) In case of accidents, arrangements for medical aid, evacuation of sick, injured passengers and access for ambulance, staff and vehicles shall be made and included as per the provisions specified in special instructions.
(2) In the event of serious accident, the Chief Controller may, in consultation with senior management declare the situation an emergency, as per the provision specified in special instructions.
(3) A senior member of the management shall be appointed as an emergency officer and shall set up an emergency control either at Operation Control Centre or at the site depending on the nature of the occurrence.
(4) The emergency officer shall be in over all charge of all the Bangalore Metro Railway resources of staff and materials for the handling of the emergency and the coordination between the Bangalore Metro Railway and external emergency agencies, such, as fire, ambulance and police and utility services.
