(1)

(2) No office employee shall absent himself from his duty or be late in attending office or leave the station without having first obtained the permission of the competent authority : Provided that in the case of unavoidable circumstances where availing of prior permission is not possible or is difficult, such permission may be obtained later subject to the satisfaction of the competent authority that such a permission could not have been obtained.

No officer employee shall ordinarily absent himself in case of sickness or accident without submitting a proper med ica I certificate:

Provided that in the case of temporary indisposition or sickness of a casual nature, the production of medical certificate may, at the absolute discretion of the competent authority, be dispensed with.
