(1) Meeting of the District Road Safety Committee will be chaired by the Chairman.
(2) The Chairman of the Committee can call an extraordinary meeting of the Committee, at anytime, for the transaction of any business, which in his opinion, is necessary to be placed before such a meeting.
(3) In case of dissent of the members of the District Road Safety Committee on any point, the decision of the Chairman shall be final.
(4) The Chairman may take the services of the experts/ technocrats to assist Committee as required from time to time.
(5) To review the implementation of schemes, compliance of the policies and of the directions given from time to time by Council/Executive Committee.

(6) The Chairman shall supervise the routine work of the Committee through Member Secretary.
(7) The Chairman may exercise his power on all those matters which are necessary for the Road Safety issues and seek approval of the Committee.
(8) To perform all those duties, as directed by the Government, the Council and the Executive Committee.
(9) The Chairman may constitute Sub-Committees for special purpose as and when required.
