2. The followirrg sub-rule (2) shall be added after sub-rule (l) of Rule 9 of Bihar General Prorident Fu nd Rules, 1946:- t2) "For the mrintenance of Provident Fund accounts, Finarce Department. Govt. of Bihar may prepare a.:ornputerised sofiware for calculation of interest, issuance of annual account slip and Authonty-lemer".
3, The lirst and second notes of sub-rule (4) of Rule 14 of Bihar General Provident Fund Rules, 1948 shall be sutrstituted b1- the follo*ing:'
"Note- (A) Fo' accumulated amount in Pro'.'ident Fund to the subscriber or the person u'hom the pay-ntent is legall-v due ro be paid for a period more than six months after superarnuation/vactrtiLrn of pos/dearh oi the subscritier, following officers shall be the competent authorities ior the authorisation of Authoritv-letter for the purpose of the payment:-
(i) For such subscribers whose Provident Fund accounts are maintained b1'GPF Directol ate. Finance Department- Directcr. GPF Directorate, Finance Depanment.
. (ii) For such subscribers whose Provident Fund accounts are maintained by District Provident Fund office under control of GPF Directorate' Finance Depanmeni- Districr Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner of the concemed district.
(iii) For such subscribers rvhose Provident Fund accounts are not maintained by Directcr'. GPF Directorate, Finance Department or its district offices- Financc Department.
(B) In cases of superannuation of subscribers, sanctioning authorities will have to be fully satisfied that the dela)'has been caused by administrarive reasons which have been duiy enquired into ano proper action has been taken, u'herever ir was necessarl'.
Sanctioning authorit) will have to be fully satisfied in cases of post vacanc-ly'death of subscribers that rh:,ielaf in lbru arding/sending application by ihe Depanment to the Provident Fund office hi's been caused due to the administrative rezsons, which have been duly enquired into and prop€r action ha-s been taken, $herever it was necessary.
