Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement

The Indian Electricity Act, 1910State Act of Bihar · Act 9 of 1910

(1) This Act may be called the Indian Electricity Act, 1910.

(2) It extends to the whole of India 1[except the State of Jammu and Kashmir].

(3) It shall come into force on such 2 [date] as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct in this behalf.
