Section 3: Subrules (2) and (3) of Rule-7 of the Bihar Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Cadre Rules, 2014 (as amended from time to time) shall be substituted by the following

"(2) Appointment in General Duty Subcadre shall be made by direct recruitment in the basic categary (Physiotherapist/Occupational therapist) on the recommendation of the Commission.

In the Specialist subcadre also, appointment shall be made by direct recruitment in the basic categary (Specialist Physiotherapists/Occupational therapists) on the recommendation of the Commission.

(3) General Duty Subcadre (Physiotherapist/Occupational therapist):- In the light of requisition, the Commission shall invite applications after advertising vacancies and prepare merit list on following ground:-

(a) For marks obtained in Bachelor in physiotherapy /Bachelor in Occupational therapy examination – 60 marks

(b) For higher degree – 15 marks

(c) For work experience in Government Hospitals of Bihar State/ In Other Department (5 marks for each completed year, maximum 25 marks) – 25 marks Total 100 marks Note:—The determination of marks to be given to a candidate for marks obtained in the Bachelor in Physiotherapy/Bachelor in Occupational therapy Course examination shall be made by multiplying percentage of total marks obtained in the aforesaid courses examination by multiple of

0.6. For example, if a candidate has obtained 50% marks he will be given 50% X 0.6 = 30 marks.

(4) Specialist Subcadre (Specialist Physiotherapist/Occupational therapist):- In the light of requisition the Commission shall invite applications after advertising vacancies and prepare merit list on following grounds:-

(a) For marks obtained in Masters in physiotherapy /Masters in Occupational therapy degree examination – 60 marks

(b) For higher degree – 15 marks
