Section 18: Duties of Managing Committee

it shall be the duty of the Managing Committee-

(a) to examine and pass the accounts;

(b) to keep a minute book in which its proceedings will be recorded;

(c) to satisfy itself that necessary measures for medical examination, health, discipline, labour punishment and control are being taken;

(d) to give every inmate an opportunity of making applications and complaints to it and to enquire into the same;

(e) to inspect all registers and the records of inmates; and

(f) to recommend to the State Government the discharge or release of any inmate under Section 9.
