Section 16: Powers and duties of Secretary

The Bihar School Examination Board Act, 2019State Act of Bihar · Act 10 of 2019

(1) The Secretary shall, subject to the control of the Board, be the Chief Administrative Officer of the Board. He shall also be responsible for the presentation of the annual estimates and statement of accounts.

(2) The Secretary shall be the Member-Secretary of the Board.

(3) The Secretary shall be responsible for ensuring that all moneys are expended for the purpose for which they are granted or allotted.

(4) The Secretary shall be responsible for keeping the minutes of the Board meeting.

(5) The Secretary shall be the appointing and disciplinary authority of the level of employees of Office Attendant.

(6) The financial and administrative powers of the Secretary shall be such as enumerated in Appendix-1.

(7) The Secretary shall exercise such other powers as may be prescribed by the Rules and Regulations, framed under the Act.
