Section 11: Spreading of periods of work

Bihar Shops & Establishments Act, 1953State Act of Bihar · Act 8 of 1954

The periods of work and intervals of rest of an employee in an establishment shall not be together spread over more than —

(i) in the case of child, eight hours in any day;

(ii) in the case of a young person, ten hours in any day;

1[(iii) in the case of any other employee, twelve hours in any day. ]
