Section 9: Power to file case and punishment

The Bihar State Public Records Act, 2014State Act of Bihar · Act 8 of 2014

(1) Record officer may file case as soon as possible for before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate with prior permission of Director.

(2) Whoever contravenes any of the provisions of section 4 or section 8 of this Act, shall be punishable with imprisonment for such term, which may be extended to five years or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees or with both.
