(1) The Board of Planning shall be the principal body for preparing plans for the growth and development of the University to achieve its objectives.
(2) The Board of Planning shall be constituted consisting of the following:-
(a) The Chancellor
(b) The Honorable Minister, Department of Health, Government of Bihar
(c) The Vice- Chancellor
(d) The Chief Secretary, Government of Bihar
(e) Additional Chief Secretary/ Principal Secretary/ Secretary, Department of Finance, Government of Bihar;
(f) Additional Chief Secretary/ Principal Secretary/ Secretary, Department of Education, Government of Bihar;
(g) Additional Chief Secretary/ Principal Secretary/ Secretary, Department of Health, Government of Bihar;
(h) Principal, Patna Medical College and Hospital;
(i) Director Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences & All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna;
(j) Director in Chief, (Medical Education), Government of Bihar;
(k) Two eminent Professors nominated by the Chancellor
(l) Nominee of National Medical Commission;
(3) The Planning Board shall meet once in a year and develop plans on the future programmes of the University and recommend the same to the Academic Council and Executive Council. It shall also recommend long term plans in relation to the different activities of the University as and when found necessary.
