Without affecting the provisions of vertical reservations, as applicable from time to time for admission in the educational Institutions in the State of Bihar, one third of total seats of all the courses and categories in each Institution and College affiliated with the University shall be horizontally reserved for admission of women candidates. In case of Post-Graduate courses it shall be applied at the State level specialty wise.
Provided that this benefit shall be available only to the women domiciled in the State of Bihar. In the absence of eligible women candidate, the vacant seats in the same academic session shall be filled up by the male candidates from the relevant category (reserved/ unreserved). For the implementation of these provisions, the Government may issue orders as required from time to time.
