Section 34: Release from arrest during investigation

(1) Any person arrested under rule 1[32] may be released from arrest under the order of an Assistant Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Commandant or any officer superior to the Commandant.

(2) Subject to the provisions of rule 35, no person except on the basis of any fresh evidence against him be re-arrested.
