Section 11: Manner of ascertaining names of electors for inclusion in the electoral roll

( I) The Chief Executive Officer may for the purpose of preparing the electoral roll, send letters of request i!l Form I-A to the occupants of dwelling houses in the Cantonment and every person re­ ceiving any such letter shall furnish the information called for therein to the best of his ability.

(2) The Chief Executive Officer shall ascertain the names of members of the Armed Forces and other defence personnel residing in the unit lines. or other buildings, who are eligible for registration in the electoral roll of the Can­ tonment, from the Officer Commanding the Station or the Officer Commanding the Unit, as he deems necessary.
