(1) Every ballot box used at a polling station shall be so made that papers unce in~ched Cil.nnot be withdrawn without · unlocking it.
(2) Immediately before tht: commencement of lhe voting, the polling nfficcr· shall show the ballot box empty to such person~ as rnay be present at the polling station and shall lock it up and place a seal upon the ballot box in such manner a-. t11 prevent its being opened without hn.:ak ing the- sL:al.
(3) The Polling Officer shall also seal the key, if any, of the hallllt hux in such manner as to prevent its being m.ed and keep the t.:c.y .'.caled with him.
(4) Eh'I)' h;:J]](lt hox used at a polling station shall bear labels, bnth <Jutside cmd ins.ide marked with-·-
(i) the numlwr of the ward,
(ii) the :->LTial number of the polling station, if then:
drc mc1rc than one polling starion in the ward.
(ii.il the '>t:rial number of the hallot box (tn be filled at the end tll"lhe poll on the lahel outside the hal lot h·:>X only), and (iv.l the date tlfpo!l.
