( 1) On satisfying himself that a person is cntjtJcd to recci ve a hal lot paper, the Polling Officer shall-
(a) record the serial number of the ballot paper Jgaim:t the Clltry relating to the elector in the copy of the electoral roll set apart for the purpose:
(b) stan1p the ballot paper with an official mark on the back:
(c) jnltial tlK' ha1Jot paper on the official mark;
(d) hand over the bal!ot paper to the voter. jnstruct ing him hov .... many votes he has and how he may rcCtJrJ his vutc.

(3) The elector un receiving the ballot paper shall forthwith----
(a) prncecJ tu one of the voting compartments;
(h) make a !llark on the baUot paper with the in ·"lrurncnt ;;uprbcd for the purpose on or ncar [WI II -1:'1US 4] the symbol of the candidate for whom he in tends to vote;
(c) fold the ballot paper so as to conceal his vote;
( J) show to the Polling Officer if required, the distinguishing mark on the ballot paper,
(e) insert the folded ballot paper into the ballot box, and (I) quit the polling station.
(4) Every elector shall vote without undue delay.
(5) No elector shall be allowed to enter a voting compartment when another elector is inside.
(6) II owing to blindness or other physical infirmity, an clect()r is unable to recognise the symbols on the ballot parer or to make a mark thereon, the Polling Officer shall rcccrd the vote on the ballot paper in accordance ~ith the wishes of the elector, fold it so as to conceal the vote and insert it into the ballot box.
(7) While acting under sub-rule (6) the Polling Of ficer shall observe as much secrecy as is feasible and shall keep a bnef record of each such instance but shall not :ndicatc therein the manner in which any vote has been ;pven
