Section 11: Disposal of census schedules and other connected papers

The schedules and other connected papers shall be disposed of totally or in part by the Director of Census Operations, after creating electronic record of such documents, in accordance with the general or special directions as may be given by the Census Commissioner in this behalf.

Explanation.—For the purpose of this rule, ‘electronic record’ shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in clause (t) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (21 of 2000).]
