m. ~. ll'!f. om ~ MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS (Department of Personnel & Training) NOTIFICATION New Delbi, the 31st July, 1996 3 G.S.R. 344(E).-Jn exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (2) of Section 13 of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 (13 of 1985), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruit ment to the post of Principal Private Secretary in the Central Adn!inistrative Tn1>unal, namely :- l. Short title and commencement :-(1) These rules may be called the Central Administrative Tribunal (Principal Private Secretary) Recruitment Rules, 1996.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Number of posts, classified and scale of pay :-The number of the said post, its classification and the scale of pay attached thereto, shall be as specified in columns 2 to 4 of the said Schedule.
3. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications :-The method of recruitment to the said post, age limit, qualifica tions and other matters relating thereto shall be as specified in columns 5 0 14 of the Schedule aforesaid.
4. Disqualifications :-No person,--{a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligI1>le for appoin::nent to the said post :
Provided that the Central Goverument may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law appli cable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.
S. PlYWer to relax :-Wherethe Central Govemmentis of the opinion thatitis necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules.
6. Saving :-Nothing in these rules sball affect reservations, relaxation of the age limit and other concesssions re quired to be provided for the Schedllied Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Ex-sericemen and other special categories ofpersons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Goverument from time to time in this regard Name of Post 1 Principal Private Secretary 6 Number of Posts 2
