Section 57: Material and strength

Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations, 2023Central Regulations · 2003

(1) All conductors of overhead lines other than those provided in regulation 70 shall have a breaking strength of not less than 350 kgf.

(2) Where the voltage does not exceed 250 V and the span is less than fifteen metre and is drawn through the owner‟s or consumer‟s premises, a conductor having an actual breaking strength of not less than 150 kgf may be used.
