Wtio. nonnaUy approaches only by using a part of the said section -of~ NatiOn,i Highway& and such person is therefore, required to use such vehicles for commuting on -~- parfof the. said section of the National Highways without crossing more than one .of the toll plazas, In the course of nonnal traliel to and from his place of work or residence. ·
(b) . Local: Commercial traffic: 50% of the applicable fees for the specifi~ ~egory of vehicles.
Explanation: For the purposes of this clause "Local commercial Traffic" means any commercial vehicle including buses, trucks, light motor vehicles or· taxies engaged in carrying goods and passengers registered with the concessionaire as plying routinely on the Project highway. without crossing more than one of the toll plazas.
3. Following types of vehicles are exempted from. the fee specified above in the Schedule rlamely:-
(i) Defense vehicles,
(ii) Vehicles having VIP symbols,
(iii) Police vehicles,
(iv) -Fire Fighting vehicle,
(v) Ambulances
(vi) Funural vans,
(vii) Vehicles of Department of Posts and Telegraph and ·

4. Th$ vehicles offic•any belonging to the following shall be deemed to be vehicles having VIP symbols, namely:-
(i) President of India,
(ii) Vice President of India,
(iii). Central and State Ministers while in vehicles,
(iv)1 Leaders of Opposition in Lok SabhafRajya SabhafState Legislature, having the status of Cabinet Ministers while in vebicles,
(v) · Governors of States,
(vi) Lieutenant Governors of Union territories,
(vii) Speakers or Chairman of Central and State Legislatures, (viiib Members of Parliament of the entire country on production of ID cards issued by the Parliament,
(ix) Members of Legislative Assemblies! Legislative Councils within the State on Production of ID Card issued by the State Legislative and Legislative Council,
(x) Foreign dignitaries on State visit to India,
(xi) Foreign Diplomats Stationed In India using cars with CD (Cat Diplomatic) Symbols and
(xii) Winners of Gallantry Awards namely Param Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Mahavir Chakra, Kirti Chakra, Vir Chakra and Shorya on production of ID Card authenticating the Award by the Competent Authority.
5. ThE? above-mentioned rates shall'be displayed on a board in the vicinity of the toll station. The height of display boards and size of letters being such that it is easy for drivers to read the display boards and shall be legibly written or painted in English, Hindi and the regional language of the area on which the National Highway Section is situated. The said Maharashtra State Road Developm$nt Corporation Ltd. or its authorized legal representative shall give a receipt to the payer on each and every occasion of recovery of fee under this notification.
