11. Seven members of the Executive Council shall form a quorum for a meeting of the Executive Council 11 (i) 50% of the total number of existing members of the Executive Council shall form a quorum for a meeting of the Executive Council.
(ii) The Executive Council shall consist of the following members, namely: i. Vice Chancellor ii. Pro-Vice Chancellor(s) (if any) iii. One Dean of the School of Studies by rotation according to seniority iv. Two members of the Court, none of whom shall be an employee or student of the University or an Institution recognized by or associated with the University, to be elected or nominated by the Court v. Four persons of distinction in academic and public life to be nominated by the Visitor. Out of them a woman. vi. Two Vice Chancellors of the Central Universities to be nominated by the Chairman of the Executive Council. vii. Registrar - Non-Member Secretary. All the members of the Executive Council, other than the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro-Vice Chancellor(s) and the Secretary Registrar, shall hold office for a term of three years. Prof. R.K. (ii) The Academic Council shall consist of the following members, namely: i. Vice Chancellor - Chairperson. ii. Pro-Vice Chancelior(s) (if any). iii. Deans of the Schools of Studies. iv. Heads/Coordinator of Departments/ Centres of Studies. v. Four Professors, who are not Dean/Head/ Coordinator. vi. Dean, Student Welfare. vii. Librarian. viii. Chief Proctor. ix. Three Associate Professors, who are not Dean/Head/Coordinator, by rotation basis, according to seniority, to be nominated by the Vice - Chancellor. x. Three Assistant Professors, by rotation according to seniority, to be nominated by the Vice- Chancellor. xi. Two Students from the 4lh year (7th Semester) one representing from Science and Engineering & Technology and one from Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (i.e. all non Science and Technology & Engineering) on the basis of their all round merit nominated by the Vice-Chancellor. Explanation - Students from a particular Centre would not be nominated from same Centre for the next consecutive year. xii. Four persons of eminence in academic / social, out of which at least two from industries not below the level of Vice President to be nominated by the Chairman of the Academic Council. xiii. Two recognized Academician from any State University or Research Institution in the State of Jharkhand to be nominated by the Vice Chancellor. xiv. Two Members of the Court, none of whom shall be associated with an employee or student of the University or an Institution recognized by or associated with the University, to be elected or nominated by the Court. xv. Registrar - Non-Member Secretary. All the members of the Academic Council, except exofficio members, shall hold office for a period of three years from the date of their nomination.
