(1) The Central Vigilance Commission Ordinance, 1998, and the Central Vigilance Commission (Amendment) Ordinance, 1998 are hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Central Vigilance Commission Ordinance, 1998, as amended by the Central Vigilance Commission (Amendment) Ordinance, 1998 shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Ordinance.

SEC. 1] THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY 13 THE SCHEDULE [See section 5(3)] Form of oath or affirmation to be made by the Central Vigilance Commissioner or Vigilance Commissioner:— "I, A.B., having appointed Central Vigilance Commissioner (or Vigilance Commissioner) of the Central Vigilance Commission do swear in the name of God solemnly affirm that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established, that I will uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India, that I will duly and faithfully and to the best of my ability, knowledge and judgment perform the duties of my office without fear or favour, affection or ill-will and that I will uphold the Constitution and the laws.".
