Section 2: Definitions

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) “Act” means the Wakf Act, 1995 (43 of 1995);

(b) “Chairperson” means the Chairperson of the Council;

(c) “Council” means the Central Wakf Council established under section 9 of the Act;

(d) “Fund” means the Central Wakf Fund formed under sub-section (2) of section 10 of the Act;

(e) “Member” means a member of the Council;

(f) “Secretary” means the Secretary of the Council.
